We met in a truly coincidental way, you see… Our meeting was in London although Aura is Romanian and was living in Spain, and I’m American and was living in California.

We had a great few days of friendship and decided that the distance was going to simply be too much to carry on … until we both decided that it wasn’t.

We knew we had already started to see the other as our “missing piece.”  So, we did what a lot of couples do – we called, texted, video chatted, and traveled. We fell in love, we decided to get married.

Unfortunately, as many others like us find out – there were reasons why we couldn’t get married and be in a position to be together in the United States. In our case, as with so many others, it was simple bureaucracy.

Having heard about online marriages, however, gave us hope. We did our research and scoured the web. We hired a company to help us. We paid our money.  Sadly, the paperwork was handled improperly and we couldn’t get it fixed. We had to do something, so we learned exactly how to make this work and fixed it ourselves.

We promised each other that given the stress associated with long-distance love, governmental red tape, and wanting to be married to your “missing piece”, that we would create this service for others. We also made the following commitments to those who would entrust us with their lives and futures:
